Access these free learning tools to improve your Skills for Success.

  • Reading workbook: Reading helps us find information and communicate with others. This workbook covers how and why we read and key strategies that can improve our reading skills.
  • Writing workbook: We use writing every day at home and at work. Good writing skills are useful in many different areas of life. This workbook shows us why writing is important in our life and how to get better at writing.
  • Numeracy workbook: We use numbers and math every day, like when we count our overtime hours at work, go shopping, or make a monthly budget. This workbook is about how and why we use numbers and how to improve our numeracy skills.
  • Digital literacy program: Youth Teaching Adults is a free introductory digital literacy program for adult learners. The program helps adults increase their digital literacy skills with the support of youth volunteer-tutors and free online lesson plans.
  • Thinking workbook: Thinking is an important skill we use every day. Developing stronger thinking skills can help us succeed in life, at home, and at work. This workbook demonstrates ways to strengthen our thinking skills.
  • Teamwork workbook: The ability to work well as part of a team is a very important skill. This workbook explores why teamwork is important, how to handle conflict with coworkers and how to improve teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability workbook: Being able to deal with change is an important life skill. Willingness to learn new ways of doing things can help you be more successful at work. This workbook covers adaptability and coping better with change.
  • Lifelong Learning: We never stop learning and continuing to learn as adults helps us deal with the many changes we experience in our lives. This workbook shows us different approaches to learning, and how to achieve learning goals.
  • Online learning platform: The ABC Skills Hub is an online learning portal offering introductory courses to improve skills such as money management and employability skills. Users can create free accounts and work through courses at their own pace.
  • Literacy programs in your community: The LEARN program connects adult learners with literacy programs in their community based on their needs. Search for programming such as: reading, ESL, workplace skills training and high school equivalency preparation.
