Top economist addresses literacy in Canada
On Wednesday February 23 TD Bank Group Chief Economist and ABC Life Literacy Canada Board Member Craig Alexander spoke to leaders in business, government and literacy about the importance of addressing Canada’s literacy levels.
Literacy and lifelong learning have far-reaching impact in Canada. Higher literacy levels can bring sustainable gains to individuals, businesses, economy, society and democracy as well as help to alleviate a wide range of socio-economic problems such as poverty.
