Upcoming International Adult Learners’ Week and Good Reads book series to be featured in Edmonton, AB
(Edmonton, AB – March 24, 2011) – In celebration of International Adult Learners’ Week happening across Canada from April 2-9, ABC Life Literacy Canada will travel to Edmonton this week as part of a media and PR Tour. Several ABC programs and initiatives will be promoted as we connect with officials from media, government, business and the literacy field.
Highlights of the tour include initiatives with the Alberta Chamber of Commerce, the Centre for Family Literacy, the Never Ending Learning Conference, Edmonton Public Library and Audrey’s Books, where we will host two events in support of Good Reads, a new series of books written for adult literacy learners by talented Canadian authors.
Giller nominee, Good Reads Series Two author and Edmonton native, Marina Endicott, will headline free community events at the Edmonton Public Library and Audrey’s Books. If you are in the Edmonton area, come out and listen to Marina talk about her distinguished career, involvement in Goods Reads and hear a sneak peek of her upcoming book, out this fall.
The Edmonton Public Library event will also be broadcasted live on Life Literacy Live for anyone that cannot attend in person.
