PGI Ottawa Set to Tee Off

The 2009 PGI Ottawa Golf Tournament for Literacy, benefiting the Ottawa Community Coalition for Literacy, will take place on May 28 at the scenic Loch March Golf & Country Club.

Registration and Barbeque Lunch: 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Tee-off Time: 12:30 p.m.
Cocktails & Silent Auction: 5:30 p.m.
Dinner, Presentations and Live Auction: 6:30 p.m.

Golfers will play a leisurely 18-hole round of golf in scramble format with the chance to win a car on the hole-in-one contest. After golf they can enjoy cocktails, browse through silent and live auction items, and delight in the piano stylings of John McGovern. A fabulous roast beef buffet and delicious gourmet desserts will be served.

The after dinner program will be hosted by Master of Ceremonies, J. J. Clarke, who presides over our exciting balloon and live auctions. Numerous donated prizes will be distributed to golfers and The Learner Achievement Award will be presented to a learner from one of Ottawa’s adult literacy programs. This year’s poet is celebrated author and entertainer, Phil Jenkins.

The tournament is an outstanding social event that gives participants an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life by supporting adult literacy in Ottawa.
