The Toronto Centre for Community Learning and Development (CCL&D) is happy to announce that Sureya Ibrahim’s digital story entitled “Regent Park” has been selected as an entry to the Regent Park Film Festival. Sureya completed her digital story while she was a trainee at CCL&D’s Immigrant Women Integration Program (IWIP) in 2009. Her digital story takes you through her journey as a resident of Regent Park, and the experiences in the course of the Revitalization process. Sureya has successfully graduated from IWIP in July 2010, and is a recipient of CCL&D’s Elizabeth Cooke Community Leadership Award 2010. She now works as a Community Engagement Worker for CCL&D-Regent Park Centre of Learning. Watch Sureya’s story online as the featured story on www.tccld.org.
