Canada Post Supports Learner Award
ABC Life Literacy Canada is pleased to announce that Canada Post is the National Learner Champion Donor for the 2010 PGI Golf Tournaments for Literacy. As part of their support, Canada Post will present The Learner Achievement Award, an award dedicated to one adult learner at each PGI event in every province and territory to acknowledge their success and achievements.
Canada Post has supported several of ABC Life Literacy Canada's initiatives over the past 14 years. In 1996, Canada Post worked with ABC Life Literacy Canada to develop a special edition stamp to raise awareness for literacy, selling five million stamps and raising over $250,000 for the literacy field and service providers.
Canada Post also organizes The Canada Post Community Literacy Awards to celebrate the literacy efforts and achievements of adult learners, and those who helped them. By acknowledging their efforts and achievements, the Awards encourage and inspire others to improve their reading and writing skills, and reach personal goals.
ABC Life Literacy Canada would like to thank Canada Post for their long-term support of and dedication to the literacy cause.
