ABC Life Literacy Canada Debuts New Audio Podcast

(Toronto, ON – June 11, 2010) – ABC Life Literacy Canada (formerly ABC CANADA Literacy Foundation) today launched its debut episode of Life Literacy Radio, an audio podcast dedicated to literacy, education and lifelong learning. Life Literacy Radio raises awareness of the importance of literacy and how it affects all aspects of our lives.

“We are very excited about Life Literacy Radio,” said Margaret Eaton, President of ABC Life Literacy Canada. “This digital platform will help us reach new audiences and create a dialogue around life-long and life-wide learning.”

The first episode of Life Literacy Radio features best-selling author Joy Fielding who has signed on to be an author of Good Reads, a new series of books written for adult literacy learners. Dr. Rick Miner of Colleges Ontario is also featured on the debut episode to discuss his research report, ‘People without jobs, jobs without people.’

Future episodes will include topics such as digital literacy, workplace education, and interviews with high-profile individuals in the literacy and education field. The next episode is scheduled to air in September.
